FRESH BABY POOP

Each year Pantone announces their Color of the Year. The fashion industry often incorporates The Pantone Color of the Year into their clothing lines. I religiously research color + fashion trends from several resources to come up with ideas for future collections. I often incorporate Pantone's Color of the Year into my line. In 2013 it was Emerald. I used the color in my launch of the Brazilian Bikini. In 2014, it was Radiant Orchid which found itself woven into some of my custom design work.  

2015 poses a problem for the company who first said “where runway fashion meets sport.” This year the Pantone color, as best I can tell, is a fancy name for fresh baby poop. The Pantone color is Marsala. Marsala?! Sounds good in Italian cooking but not sure this is something women want to wear on the race course. This year runway fashion + sport are going to keep in touch but maybe a bit of separation is in order. 

Good thing I am constantly clipping things from magazines and catalogs and layering them on my inspiration wall in my office. Plenty of visuals for me come up with future ideas. Take a little tour of my wall and see what inspires Betty!
