  I like to keep people on their toes. I spend a lot of time at masters swimming and, quite frankly, find it boring to keep looking at the black line. I check out what people are wearing and wonder why swimsuits can’t be more fun. I also don’t like to wear exactly what everyone else is wearing.  “You look like a dude on a bike.” Words that forever changed the way I looked at cycling clothing. Dad was not very tactful with that one. He reminded me that I always was a tomboy and therefore he could see why I took up triathlon. I may be a tomboy, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to be feminine.
