Betty Epic Camp
I am so excited about the upcoming weekend. YES!! #BettyTime. A few notes and things of note so you can properly prepare + pack. This should be everything you need to know and heck, we will all be together starting Friday late afternoon and can sort anything else out you may need at that time.
THE BETTY HAUS
Check-In: 4:00 pm on Friday, March 9. Please do not arrive early we do not have access until 4.
Parking: If you are renting a car, there is no parking on our street. You will need to find parking on any adjacent street (Tait, S. Meyers, Wisconsin). Just look at signs and make sure to note if there are any times you cannot part there. Please also do not leave things in your car. The area is very safe, but it IS a beach town and I would hate for anyone to have any issues.
Sleeping: There are 12 bedrooms in the haus. Bedrooms will need to be shared and rooms are on a first-come, first serve basis. There are also pull out sofas and day beds to sleep on. Noel and I are going to grab two daybeds in one of the main open areas.
Food: Noel and I are going to go on a MAJOR shopping spree at Cosco for everything you can imagine. The house will be fully stocked for breakfasts + lunches + snacks with options including, vegetarian, gluten and dairy-free. That being said we know most athletes have their "special stuff" they cannot live without. Feel free to bring it. There are 2 kitchens in the Haus. Friday night's dinner will be pizza, salads, etc. Both Saturday & Sunday night dinners are being catered by FoodSense now. The owner, Leslie Myers is a local triathlete + chef. You won't be disappointed.
Weather: The weather forecast is the same as it has been here for the last few weeks. Highs of low-to-mid 60s in the day, about 50 in the early a.m. I have been riding in knees, arms, vests and on a very rare occasion a polar jacket, but that is because I am a big wimp. Even with the forecast I am bringing a bikini and hope to catch some rays on one of our decks :)
Rides + Runs: We will have 2 options for rides on Saturday morning— a 50 mile + a 30 mile option. For Sunday morning you can go on a long run or join me for more miles—about 43 down the coast. Below are links to each ride. VéloFix will be sagging for the Saturday rides and be on-site Friday night to help with any last minute tweaks to your bikes.
